Description:

KI Admin Logos that are setup using a Word Table have borders when used to create a new document.

Issue/Symptom:

After the creation of a new document, the firm's logo information appears in a Table with borders turned on.  The Logo document does not have borders turned on.

Error Message:

None

Cause:

Word uses the underlying templates default configuration for inserting a table.  By default Word template Table options are set to "Table Grid."  As the logo is inserted the table takes on the attributes of the underlying template's Table format.  In most cases this results in grid lines being turned on.

Resolution:

1. Open the KI Admin Logo document that contains your logo within a Word Table.

2. If your firm has more than one office, select the appropriate office

3. If the following message appears:

The company data in KI Admin does not match
the information in this document.

Press Yes to use this document date.

Press No to use company data stored in KI Admin.

4. Press Yes

If above the message does not appear and the logo has lost its formatting, continuously press the undo button in Word's toolbar until the undo button grays out.

5. Position your cursor in the Table and select Table, Table Properties.

6. From the Table Tab, click Borders and Shading.

7. From the Color box, Select White.

8. Select All from Settings.

9. Click Set Logo Modifications to store the updated logo in the database.

10. Test to be sure the logo now appears without the borders in new documents..
