How to disable the Interwoven application's "Insert Footer?"

Issue/Symptom:

The KI Footer Macro provides automatic updates of the profile information in document footers. Administrators wishing to remove the default Interwoven option of inserting a static footer can add a registry key setting to remove the Interwoven Menu.

Resolution:

To Enable/Disable Interwoven Footer Feature add the following registry settings to user workstations:

Add the key "MenuSettings" if it does not exist on user workstations as follows:

Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\
SOFTWARE\NetRight\Interwoven\
Integration\MenuSettings

Within the "MenuSettings" key, create a String Value as follows:

Name: SETFOOTER

The text value of the string is set to "Y" or "N". "Y" to enable the feature/menu item or "N" to disable (remove) the feature/menu item from Microsoft Word.

Value: Y or N
