Description:

On a multi-user workstation, KI Systems Law Automation Tools are not available for one of the users if the software has been installed logged on as the other user.

Issue/Symptom:

When two users are assigned to the same workstation, KI Systems Law Automation Tools are only available for one user.

Error Message:

None.

Cause:

Each user who logs onto a workstation has their own registry keys.  When KICFG is run, keys for KI Systems Law Automation Tools are created for each user.   Installing KI Systems Law Automation Tools under one user's login will not automatically install the software under the other user's login.

Resolution:

Install KI Systems Law Automation Tools logged onto the workstation as each individual user.

 

Note:

When the setup is run as the second (or following user) the setup program may detect a prior installation of KI Systems software. If you receive a dialog box prompting to Modify, Repair or Remove the previous version - select Remove and then re-run the setup logged in as the second (or following user). In the case of a multi-user install the options Modify or Repair are not sufficient to install the second (or following users) system settings.
