Issue/Symptom: Following a document comparison using DeltaView 2.x templates and macros cease to run within the session of Word 2000 or Word 2002. Error Message: None.
Cause: Following the installation of DeltaView certain registry keys are created which control the setup and administration of the DeltaView application. A default setting included in the setup controls whether or not DeltaView should or should not use the current instance of Word to run the comparison. This option is check "On" by default. If this setting is "On" the DeltaView application will Disable Word's ability to run Auto macros for the remainder of the session of Word. This disabling causes future template and macro processes that include AutoNew macros to present Wizard dialog boxes and process macro code to cease to function.
Resolution: Reconfigure DeltaView setting: 1. Open the DeltaView application 2. From the File Menu, select Preferences 3. Select DeltaView Configuration 4. Select DeltaView Administration 5. Uncheck the option: "Use current instance of Word" 6. Close and Restart all applications.
