KI Admin Logo File Size Extender

Description:

Office XP and Office 2000 Logo Documents (i.e. Letter Logo.doc, Fax Logo.doc, etc.) may not exceed 50 KB.

Category:Client
Product:Word 2002, Word 2000
Created:2/1/2003
Last Modified:2/1/2003

Issue/Symptom:

The file KIStore.dll is responsible for the transfer of logo information from the database into Word documents.  In order to provide backward compatibility with Windows 95 workstations, the 50 KB limitation is required.

Error Message:

None

Cause:

If your firm's logo documents are modified and the actual file size exceeds 50 KB and your desktop operating system is not Windows 95, you may download and apply the update patch to your workstations.

If your firm's logo documents do not exceed 50 KB, you do not need to install the Logo Download Patch.

Resolution:

This patch will allow Logo documents to exceed the 50 KB limitation.

Do not apply this patch if you are using Windows 95 as your operating system on client PCs.  Contact KI Systems for alternative solutions if you are using Windows 95 clients.

For implementation instructions please see:

Tech Note: 100-00085 for Office XP or Office 2000 clients.
