Address Book 2003 Comment Patch

Description:

Patch 1 includes corrections to the following feature of the Numbering Tool 2003:

1.  Corrects Screen Refresh issues which slowed the application of Schemes to documents; and
2.  Provides the Format Paragraph option of "Exactly Line Spacing", commonly used within Line Numbered Pleadings; and
3.  Provides the option of Done and Cancel buttons in dialogs, in lieu of a single Close button.

Patch updates provides the above processing correction and the enhancements listed above.

For Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP client pc's:

Download the Address Book patch

For Standard Version Users (non-SQL database sites):

To install the Patch, you must remove the current Numbering Tool 2003 installation and re-install the using the KINum2003.exe included in the zip file:

Note:  Removing the current Numbering Tool 2003 installation will also remove any private schemes the user has created. The new install will contain only our default document schemes. Please verify with the user that they do not have any Private Schemes prior to removing the software. If they have Private Schemes that they wish to retain do the following:

1. From the Start Menu, Select Run, type: Regedit and OK. Execute this command while logged in as the current user.

2. Navigate to HKEY_Current_User\Software\KISystems\KINum\Private

3. From the Registry Menu, select Export Registry File

4. Select a "Save In" file location and name for the exported registry file

5. Close Microsoft Word 2003

6. From Add/Remove programs remove the current installation of the Numbering Tool software.

7. Re-install the Numbering Tool software using the KINum2003.exe from the zip file.  (The License Key Code for your product is the same and may be located in the Notes.txt file which accompanied your original software delivery.  You may also call KI Systems to obtain your License Key Code.)

8. Using Windows Explorer navigate to the "Save In" folder selected in item 4 above. Double click on the named file and select Yes to merge registry information into the user's registry.

9. Open Microsoft Word and the updated Numbering Tool 2003 will appear.

For Enterprise Version Users (SQL Server database sites):

To install the Patch, you must remove the current Numbering Tool 2003 installation and re-install using the KINum2003.exe included in the zip file.

1. From Add/Remove programs remove the current installation of the Numbering Tool software.

2. Re-install the Numbering Tool software using the KINum2003.exe from the zip file.  (The License Key Code for your product is the same and may be located in the Notes.txt file which accompanied your original software delivery.  You may also call KI Systems to obtain your License Key Code.)

3. Open Microsoft Word and the updated Numbering Tool 2003 will appear.
