Reminder...Listing of Recent Court Rule Changes/Updates:

Washington Superior Court Pleading, Thurston County

According to the Thurston County Clerk's office, there is a change to pleadings submitted in Thurston County.

New Pleading Format - Local Civil Rule 10 (LCR 10)

Effective September 1, 2002, pursuant to LCR 10, "every document filed shall contain the following information in substantially the following format in the top left hand corner of the first page:"

o EXPEDITE
o
Hearing is set:
Date: _____________________
Time: _____________________
Judge/Calendar: ____________

This new rule requires the above box to be placed on the first page of all pleadings and the appropriate information completed. When filing a document within 5 court day of a hearing, please check the EXPEDITE box.

(Note: There is a check box in front of Expedite and Hearing is set and the information is surrounded by a text box.)

A sample on the web site shows this information starting at line 3 of the pleading, below the judge name.

NOTE:  The Superior Court Pleading you currently have may not comply with these rule changes.  You may continue using the template and manually modify all documents based on the rules cited above.  

If requested, KI Systems will update your template so that all future pleadings are in full compliance.  Any changes made to the template will not affect any pleadings or captions you have stored on your network.  Changes to existing files must be made manually.
